专家简介:Dr. Frank C. Sup IV is an Professor of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst and the Director of the Mechatronics and Robotics Research Lab. His lab focuses on developing human-centered robotic technologies for augmenting human gait and balance and exploring physical human-machine interfaces. Current research topics include adaptive ankle prostheses, rehabilitation aids, and intelligent mobility aids. His prior research focused on the hardware and controller development of powered knee and ankle prostheses. He received his Mechanical Engineering degrees from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign (B.S. 2001) and Vanderbilt University, Nashville, TN (M.S. 2006 and Ph.D. 2009). He also served as a post-doctoral research associate in the Center for Intelligent Mechatronics at Vanderbilt University where he worked on developing balance enhancing reflexes for powered lower-limb prostheses.
报告主要内容:
The development of mechatronics technology and sensor technology has provided unprecedented opportunities and research challenges for the design and control of wearable robots. Physical human-computer interaction is realized through computer simulation, sensor information fusion, and control strategy optimization. This session provides an overview of wearable robotics technologies, such as smart prostheses and exoskeletons, to advanced control structures and methods. The key technologies and research developments of adaptive ankle prostheses and rehabilitation aids are highlighted.
